Erkunt Traktör Sanayii A.Ş. was established on September 12, 2003, with domestic capital and produces Turkey s first domestically designed tractor. All the tractors are being designed by Turkish engineers. Erkunt Traktör, which ranked 3rd among 31 brands in the market within 6 years of its establishment, continues its production with more than 160 models today, that started with only two models, takes another big step for innovation in the sector in 2022 by launching its models with domestic production engine brand eCapra to the market. Erkunt Traktör aims to reduce abroad dependency and encourage domestic production with its new eCapra engines used in 75 Hp Stage 3B and above 75 Hp Stage 4 emission leveled 3 and 4 cylinder models, while also making the work of the Turkish farmers and farmers all around the world easier with lower costs and by using high technology. The eCapra engine, which has more torque reserve than existing 3A models and reduces harmful exhaust gases into the air to a minimum, aims to be more efficient, stronger and more environmentally friendly. Erkunt Traktör, which started exporting its products under the ArmaTrac brand in 2007, exports 25% of its production to 34 countries in total, and the eCapra project aims to increase this rate to 35% in 2023. The factory established in Ankara, which has the capacity to produce 18.000 tractors in a year, produces front axles, hydraulic lifters and cabins for tractors, along with tractor production. Erkunt Traktör, which works to ensure that the tractors produced are efficient, economical, equipped with superior technological features and resistant to heavy conditions by allocating an average of 3% of its turnover to R&D studies every year, was accepted as an R&D Center by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Turkey in 2015. In 2017, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), one of the world s leading tractor manufacturers, took over the shares of Erkunt Tractor and the two powerful companies started to operate together in the Turkish and world markets. In 2021, Erkunt purchased some selected active assets of Agricultural Machinery of Hisarlar Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. These assets include the Hisarlar brand, the products intellectual property rights and production resources. By always listening to the farmer and putting farmer satisfaction at the forefront, Erkunt is the only tractor brand in the industry that has ISO 10001 Customer Satisfaction and Complaint Management Certificate.
